So I have a question for you old drag week participants.  I took the car on a 70 mile road trip and my 20 gal fuel cell was 122 deg  not sure why fuel is that hot but I need to do something before I drive it 200 miles!

So looking at the $$ amounts
1.adapter $950
2.Controller $1250
3. Used trans $600-$800 V-8 trans
4.torque converter $1200  3000 stall with triple disk lockup.
total= $4000-$4200
I had looked very hard at this If I did have a killer torque converter and C-6 I would head this direction
I have a friend with a 16 GT twin turbo that runs 9.5's thru a stock trans!
the low gear in the trans is a 4.XX ratio !!!!

Looking at it  how do you bolt the alternator in ? I have a “new” 140 amp alternator to run all the electronics in my car. And also really can’t move the altdue to the turbo’s

I have a set of extra hardened rocker shafts and Dove rockers  not sure if pushrods I have are the same length
The alternator is a FORD 140 amp I can get at any parts store   I guess I’ll rebuild a steel water pump to bring, I don’t turn this engine over 6250 rpm. I actually just put a 3.0 gear in it ! Thinking valve train should survive ?  But you know how “luck” goes    Didn’t think of the distributor. That’s a FAST dual pickup,  need to think about that one !! I do have spare injectors a spare aeromotive fuel pump

So I am on the wait list 101-200 they said.  So if I’m up at beaver springs I’ll just shoot over to see if I can get in .   So now for my question What have you guys seen fail on the FEs during this week so I know what extra things to bring I.E. rocker arms push rods etc.

This really sucks. We are here at the track and in the middle of qualifying they make this  announcement !   Still s lot of people here.   And now we eat out $400 camping spot for the week. The news people have blown this way out of  proportion  NOT A HAPPY CAMPER

I had 2 sheets with my info filled out one for me And one for the wife
I was trying to do the form on my phone which has auto fill for my name and address
But still took too long.  I might just try and trailer the car up there (1000+ mile one way)
Just to see if I can get in. Seen a guy do that in Atlanta
See how it goes at FERR prior!!
