Heo, The valve covers look great.  I'm curious where you sourced the birds, can you share that info?

I ordered them from Mac`s but i got them sent from Dearborn classic
or the other way around. They are 390 high perf fender badges

I'm glad the birds don't got lost in shipping and ended up on some truck or something ;)
I did this in the 80s sometime on some covers that had a square patch where i mounted
the bird. So there was polished aluminium between the bird and the gold paint.
But here where the flanges is right up to the bird i think no paint look better

Heo, 1320 is the number of feet in the quarter mile.  An important number for us race car guys  8)

To be honest i saw that on a 427 with chromed valvecovers and a Bird sticker in the mid 70s and it
stuck to my memory

Thanks Doug,Yes not that good looking as mine if im allowed to brag
Parked the Galaxie for the winter got some snow thursday
but melted away. My distributor have probably arrived.
And tomorrow im going home from where i am so i will try to mount the dist
and MSD and new coil and hopefully the roads are bare so i can test and tune it
Then its back in for dissasembly from windshield forward. To restore the enginebay
and the front of the frame and rebuild the frontend. Build a new 2.5 inch exhaust
April first i start to reasemble and whats not painted or whatever  have to wait to next year
