A sticky is just a message that "sticks" to the top of the board; it is always the first message on the list, or in the case of several stickies, the first messages.

Great Idea, I think it should have the build details along with the dyno numbers though.

Some one of these days, Jay, you'll have to let us in on how you persuaded God to let you have 30 hour days!

Somehow it's odd that FE forum's don't 'feature' a section of FE combinations in detail like eye and motorhead candy. It's annoying the guys that have fast race track FEs rarely if ever show even the outsides of engines as they're sitting in the engine compartment. Have I ever seen a NHRA record holding FE engine pictured on line and detailed just enough to make one drool - ?..... I can't recall ever seeing one.

Here's John Calverts '64 Fairlane Stock Eliminator 427 HR for you ( not my picture ). It's actually pretty easy to check these cars out at any NHRA National or Divisional event or even bracket races, and I've found most of the racers willing to answer your questions as long as you apply some common sense, don't pester them if it looks like a thrash is going on or they're just about to head to the starting line for a run. I've had the privilege to talk to John Calvert at Pomona a couple times and he went out of his way to answer my questions and more, even inviting me into his motorhome to watch how they analyzed video of the cars launching and their data logging info. I think the reason you don't see more posting from the racecar owners themselves is because most figure there isn't that much "special" externally in their engine compartment, everybody has a beautiful car with a tidy engine bay. The heads, intakes, carbs are all spelled out on the NHRA website. They know the real tricks are inside and with the attention to detail in the blueprinting. Most of the engines ( but not all ) are built by professional engine builders or people that  specialize in components like cylinder heads, carbs. People like Blair and it seems like he's always been willing to share his knowledge here when asked. And people like Joe Craine as well. I too look forward to when guys like Rusty Gillis share what goes into building their cars. It will be nice to have a section with some of this stuff grouped together.

Ditto that! That's what I like about this sight the most, the Members Projects area. I love it. Watching Rusty build his latest car and seeing many of the other smaller builds and projects, or seeing Jays engine builds, is fantastic, and very informative. Blair has given more info out over the years than I'm sure he'd care to at any one time. Just tid-bits here and there, which add up. Same goes for Barry, although he never hides anything and is always willing to add his tips and tricks for free. Adding an ET/HP sticky or child board would really be the kicker to some of the builds.

I pmed/emailed three FE vendors some questions about FE heads a couple weeks ago. Two are mentioned on this thread. Barry was the only one who responded. Guess who Ill be buying my new heads from... ;)

OK, I've gotten started on this by adding a child board called FE Engine Dyno Results, and posted one engine so far.  I have several more engines I can post, but I'm going to rely on members to post their info, in order to fill this section out.  I've put a sticky on the top of that board with a suggested format for the results.

I'll also put up an ET  board for quarter mile data, where members can post track info for their cars.  I'll try to come up with a format for those results also.

Have at it, guys  :D
