Looking for a good used before I hit the Summit page. Need it to be clean, not painted or polished. I already have two but they are both painted (by me) and this will be for another project. Thanks

FE Technical Forum / Fabricated Aluminum Valve Covers
« on: January 10, 2024, 10:27:13 PM »
Is there such a thing as "good quality" out there or are they mostly offshore junk. I'm going to need a set of covers with breathers in them since I don't want a Vac pump or PCV. They used to be posted all over the place but I suspect the crap quality caught up to the suppliers. Any suggestions appreciated.

Private Classifieds / WTB.. Good 428 block
« on: February 15, 2022, 09:03:40 PM »
I know, not your corner store item but I have a friend here on the West Coast of Canada that's in need of a decent 428 block. Shipping may nix any deal however I said I'd ask around.

Private Classifieds / Wanted.. 1970 Mustang Fastback

A friend intends to build a 70 Boss 429 Super Stock car and is looking for a nice starting spot so no rusty projects please. It will be getting a back half and 4 link so he won't be cutting up anything rare. Let me know if you have or know of something. Thanks

heads. Not likely to use them again but I also hate selling stuff. A fair bit of work went into these in spite of reports that they flow 320 out of the box these allegedly flow that now. Intake ports have epoxy, intake valves are custom Manley 2.15 and exhaust were stock CJ but I don't have any unless you want 8 bent ones (installer error). Also have a set of unknown but almost new roller springs and retainers.

Sorry for the vague descriptions but the people who did this stuff for me years ago provided zero info. I'm thinking $1500.00 for everything. I do know these heads make some power as my car ran 9.80's at 137 MPH with them and a T-wedge. No issues that I'm aware of although they aren't a bolt on and go. I haven't figured out how to post a decent picture here so PM me if interested and we'll talk. Dale

Good Deals! / Dan Speicher
« on: February 01, 2020, 01:13:33 PM »
I was looking for a specific set of carbs and Dan (aka CattleFEeder) came up with the pair I wanted. He offered them at a very reasonable price, we agreed on payment method and carbs were well boxed and shipped promptly. I'm not a big online buyer or seller but thanks Dan for making this easy.

Just like this set... http://fepower.net/simplemachinesforum/index.php?topic=5728.msg62094#msg62094

I saw these when posted and didn't react fast enough. I want to run the carbs front to back like original and not sideways. Also not interested in shiny, fancy colors or trick of the week modified Holley's. Barry, Brent, or anyone have something not being used?

Non-FE Discussion Forum / Given this is the Non FE tech forum

Here's a Non FE engine Dyno result I was at a week back. Engine is a 302 based SBF that's currently at 393 CI and runs on pump gas. The owner is 82 years old and drives the car to and from the track as well as around town. Heater, wipers and radio all work.  It's also a Stick car just for fun. Best pull of the day was 769 @ 7100 RPM while the torque came in at 607 @ 5700. Best ET I've see was a 9.38 but he usually runs a bit slower due to the "street" transmission. Obviously, there were a lot of good parts in this build.
