80B would be for a 39/428 Mustang & Cougar, without air. I'm sure other applications exist as well.

Non-FE Discussion Forum / Re: x-Plan PIN, anybody have an extra?
« on: August 29, 2022, 06:18:05 PM »
I have access to the ford partner site. While attempting to view the X-plan it indicates pricing is not available and to contact your dealer for pricing. Not a good sign for any reasonable discount. The partner site does allow one to view dealer inventory by zip code. This inventory list does show a price. In light of the message presented i’m not sure it is the X-Plan discounted price as is typically available on this site.

I attempted to look at local inventory at shop.ford.com but it does not list any local inventory available. Next step was to build and price a like vehicle. Comparing the local inventory through the partner site and the price and build I see $500 difference in price between the two.

In my past experience the dealer is not required to accept X-plan. X-plan is not offed on all vehicles, especially high demand. Best case $500, worst it is not offered. Considering X-Plan pins are limited it is best to ask the dealer if X-Plan is offered/accepted for the vehicle before generating one that may be wasted in the end.

FE Technical Forum / Re: Carburetor pad angle
« on: May 19, 2022, 11:24:37 AM »
Note: I just realized I did not post this on the forum I intended. However, I value input from this forum as well.

With the above being said it would be helpful to this forum to know a bit more information on the specific vehicle in order to obtain specific answers. This is a 69 Mustang with shaker & C6.

I would like to ensure carb angle of the stock intake remains the same after the installation of the OD trans to ensure the shaker set at the appropriate hight & angle. I hope to make any required adjustments to the spring pads to ensure appropriate driveline angle when the time comes.

FE Technical Forum / Carburetor pad angle
« on: May 18, 2022, 09:51:43 PM »
While this may be the route some would take I have opted to install an overdrive trans rather than the C6. Consequently a custom trans crossmember will be required. Not having a reference, I would like to solicit from others the measured carb pad angle and frame rail or rocker angle measurement. With this info I hope to ensure the shaker sets correctly. I realize adjustments will likely be required in order to ensure driveline angles are within limits.

Thanks,

A guy down the street from me has a White one he put a Mustang Coyote and  independent rear axle in.  Nice find.
Edit, I got a few pictures of the one I noted above.

I like the way that rear end fits in that truck, and the gas tank fit nice to any idea what it is out of ?

Looks like a a Tanks Ink for a 64-66 mustang, https://www.tanksinc.com/

I know of at least one modern car that has the battery in the trunk. However, I 'm not sure if there is a dedicated ground cable that runs front to back.

Some fox bodies used an inline restrictor. Not sure how the fox heater hose compares to an FE. Should de easy enough to make something similar.:

FE Technical Forum / Re: FPA headers in a 4x4 Ford
« on: February 12, 2022, 01:32:44 PM »
They should be the same, I may have to reflange and cut some tubes though, this is a stout one I need all the flow I can get

Back to the drawing board ahyway, today's news is  Stan claims no longer making the 4x4 headers due to material shortfalls and other projects....

Stan's in Auburn Washington or Stan's who is related to current FPA stuff?

I can stop in and see what they say in person, I will be close to Auburn. They can be a little difficult at times. I've heard one story on the phone and showed up and gotten a different story over the counter.

Stan Johnson at FPA.  I can call Stan's in Auburn, I do appreciate the offer though.  Forgot about them and their website is down

His Facebook page indicates he retired at the end of December.

there is a chart somewhere on the web where folks entered what they have done. wheel vintiques and others will do any offset you ask. be aware how they define offset. if i remember right they do not consider the bead as part of the width but for offset they measure from the bead. either way if doing a nitty griity fit have a conversation with them. on the mentioned chart by mustang owners you will find a 315 rear someone did on a 69-70. 69-70 has a lot more rear room than 67-68. having said that i recall a 285 rear on a 68 cougar by chipmechanic. know your front disk clearance when offsetting. i think calipers wont fully fit into a 17. they should fit into an 18. i think an 18 looks all right on a 69-70. not so good on a 67-68.

The charts are no longer maintained as far as I know. Copies are posted posted in several locations
