I talked to Earl at dove a few weeks ago. Kinda sounded like Jim's son was going to possibly downsize and do rockers, intakes, and maybe a few heads.

I would first get a budget in mind. Then find out about your rebuild, like which pistons and deck hight. If you can afford it the new trick flow heads seem to be good bang for your buck. Get a custom cam from one of the builders here when you have onough info for them. Headers, recurved distributor, and deeper gears go without saying.

You guys should just duke it out and get it over with. Really. The measuring contest is starting to to get old. I usually dont mind a little drama. Brent, we know all about your great fe builds, they are posted here for all to see. Scott, I've been told you build some awsome bbc engines, but i don't look at those forums...

FE Technical Forum / Re: AN fittings...aluminum or steel?
« on: February 01, 2018, 10:47:10 AM »
I used the cheap summit brand stuff on my junk. Braided line and aluminum fittings.  No problems at all. On my fairlane i have a stock gas tank, made my own sender out of 1/2" hard line, ans used a hard line to an fitting adapter. Works slick.

You can buy a cheap borescpe for your phone and try to see where the leak really is. We thought my rear main was leaking years ago, so we pulled it and ran it on the floor. Yeah a little sketchy, but it was a leaking galley plug.

I've tried it, hated it. Seemed like it took longer to heat up but took forever to cool back down. Save your money.

Awesome! With a possible 500 cfm flow, we will also be needing a block to handle all that......
