Don't know if there would be a "universal" pickup.  Depends on how it's designed electrically.

Best bet is Ebay or facebook?  Find another one and use the clamp from it.

That's the plan so far. I have three engagements to attend that weekend.  I'm planning on getting to two of them.

I need to get to Beaver to drop off two transmissions!  One for you and the other is returning my GF5R back to my sponsor.  He plans on attending, so that works for me.  This of course weather permitting.

I have a local car show on Sunday that I involved with and need my trailer there.

I'm going to miss the Modified Production stick race at Indy that I really want to attend.  I've never been to Indy and that would be a really cool race to run.

Leasing a car is just paying someone to arrange financing and sell the car for you at the lease end.

If you damage it or run up excess mileage (according to the contract) you will pay for it dearly.

Leasing is an easy way for companies to eliminate most of the bookkeeping for company cars for tax returns.

Most big auto auctions are returned lease cars. They keep used car prices high by setting high reserves on them and now prices are very high because of the new car shortages.

Some years back I had a friend whose daughter had to park her lease and buy something else to help save the huge penalty for excessive mileage.  I'm guessing she never read the fine print(seemed to be her problem on many things now looking back).

Selling anything is a big deal now.  Money for nothing as long as you don't need to replace said item.  Friend bought new Bronco, was told drive it for a year and dealership would give him more then he paid for it.  Crazy.

I'd appreciate it if someone could enlighten me as to the differences between a regular vs. a "racing" flywheel.

The name.  Well, like Scott says, something that is SFI rated and maybe lighter then a stock wheel and NOT cast iron.

A real racing wheel may also have replaceable steel inserts so that if the inserts warp you just drill out the rivets and replace the insert.  This is typically used on aluminum flywheels but I don't see why not a steel wheel?  Most race cars use alum wheels as it has less weight to accelerate...hence a faster ET.   

Have to agree.  It got hot, but if it is not warped badly I would entertain the thought of just grinding it.

The three areas were basically under the levers where the most force is applied.  I think that wheel is relatively thin(large undercut area in the middle) and thus it transferred the heat marks to the back side.

I surely give lots more leeway to my guys, just to keep them happier and in my shop.  You can't play hardball like 10 yrs ago.  It takes years to train people and I'm shorthanded now and waiting to train just won't help right now and if this world continues to decline I'm not sure I'll be able to keep more guys busy in 3-6 months.  Losing them after training them is just another hinderance and wasted time today

Drilling/tapping for a pipe plug would eliminate the issue.
