My Big Sister bought a Triumph thruxton and since she is a Jeweler
she had to engrave some of the parts

Beautiful!   8) 8)

I do simple stuff with the CNC machine, but nothing on that level!  Here's the hub of a ceiling fan I made for my home office.  (It's supposed to look old and rustic because it's a replica WW-1 Sopwith Camel propeller.)

Your sister's work is on another level  ;D

WConley, Cool, but don't spin it to fast so the ceiling gets airborn :D

Its all handmade but she is ranked among the best engravers
in Sweden

I have an old wooden propeller somewhere in the barn from
when my father built a propdriven sledge in the 60s with a
Tattra aircooled V8 but it was a piece of junk so they swaped
to a VW engine. i had thought about doing some similar with it
but....i got distracted ::)

I would love to play with one of those Tatra V8's.  They were way ahead of their time!  (Maybe that's why they didn't run reliably.  They were just waiting for a more modern time...)

The construktion as it were was not the problem i think. But low quality East european materials and workmanship.
The czecks were among the leading nations in Europe in tecnology before Sovjet ocupied the country then it went
downhill

Nothing the Russians did was a benefit to mankind. 50+ years of turmoil was the result of Communism. I am a professional modeler too. I have been building them since I was 7. The Czechs make some stunning detail parts. I'm going to Prague in September. So much history.

I have some friends that have been to Prauge. They say it is
a fantastic city. And cheap to eat live and drink compared to Sweden

Prague is a beautiful city!  I've been there a few times and always enjoyed myself.  FWIW, you might want to rent an apartment for while you're there.  They're usually cheaper than a hotel, and give you a lot more flexibility as far being able to eat in instead of having to go to a restaurant for every meal.  I think you're going to like the city a lot!  Feel free to PM me and I can give you details/contact info.

I fly for American. I am going to non-rev and "borrow" a crash pad.  One of the perks. If I want to go for a day and come home I can at zero cost to destination. My education is in Political Science and History. I was going to teach but I decided some kids may not survive dealing with a former Airborne Infantry Officer.

Our entitled millenials could use a good dose of reality!  I just read where some high schools are setting up "Adulting 101" classes to teach kids basic life skills (changing a tire, money budgeting, etc.)

We need more R. Lee!

I'm 54 and...In Sweden we had i don't know what you call it but
everyone had to do time in the Military. And there where.....
Grown men afraid of the forrest afraid of the dark......Imagine
having those Muppet's with you at night in the forrest -30 you
have to get the tent up and a start a fire. They are scared trying
to stand in the middle of the clothes because they are freezing
because their mother was not there to help them get there clothes on
they are crying because they had not got any food the last hours.
They cant make a fire one of them had NOT even light a match in his WHOLE
life :o :o So it started earlier than with the millennial. I guess the got married
and got kids and we see the result now

We had economics classes in high school which taught budgeting, balancing and such. These kids are so soft spoiled and lost it's no wonder the morons want socialism. They don't have the gumption to do for themselves and feel they are owed an existence.
Most are worthless, lazy and unmotivated unless they get a new X Box game to get off their collective asses.  You couldn't keep me still when I was their age.  Now I am paying for jumping out of perfectly good aircraft for eight years. My knees and back suck.
