Summit sent a message and pulled those parts and are talking to speed master. I was actually surprised they responded so quickly.

3
I sent a note to Summit just asking them to do the right thing and pull their products until they make it right with Broader. I am sure it will get ignored but maybe if enough of us let Summit know this isn't Ok they will do something.

Here in California all the insurance companies refuse to write new policies my kids insurance on his 2019 Camaro as is dam near what the payment is with a clean record. I will keep my opinion of what is going on to myself.

Here locally a man with a family aggregate plant was railroaded by Sacramento county and Teichert construction. He won the first part worth around 20 million for lost revenue. He still has personal litigation with the board that he won't settle because he won't do the NDA stuff. I would love to see something like that with him and speedmaster.

He covered that he also went through Rockwell test on failed lobes and lifters he covered cam cores where they come from. I wouldn't argue with anyone on this site I am a mechanic not engine builder or machinist. I will say it's the closest to an answer I've seen for DIY mass KIT failures. The crown is so off center their is no way for the lifter to spin in my opinion.

Thank you I was hoping for that.

One very interesting video he did was on flat tappet grinding. His findings made me rethink flat tappet problems. I would have posted the video but couldn't figure out how, hopefully the builders on here find it and give some feedback on their thoughts.

I am getting ready to paint my question is about the inside of the bed color, the truck will be black and white with the hood and top rails of bed in white so how was it done inside the bed in main color (black) or secondary color ( white). I have seen it both ways and was hoping somebody here could set the record straight.
Thanks

FE Technical Forum / Re: Distributor stuck in block.
« on: December 06, 2023, 06:20:40 AM »
I have been through this and for me it was self inflicted. The distributor wasn't fully seated when the intake was tightened then after timing was set and distributor was tight it all became one piece. I had to pull the intake to get it loose. I would guess this happens quite often and when it is self inflicted as in my case it only happened twice lol. I learned to fully seat the distributor before fully tightening the intake.

First thanks for the replies. I don't know about the second time the first set was SKF but I would bet they were offshore. After second time I put an explorer rear end in it but now I need to use the rear end in new project.

I have a 9" axle that keeps burning up sealed axle bearings. Everything looked good but I had machine shop push new bearings on just because I was there I put new seals in axle less than 500 miles bearings were junk they are sealed bearings so the machine shop checked axles and put new bearings on again same thing in a week. I haven't had housing put on a fixture but using a solid shaft going all the way through it seems straight nothing is tight going together and both bearings are going junk at same time. What am I doing wrong. Thanks
