Title: Blue Thunder intake Oil Fill Tube delete
Post by: Skeeter65 on August 08, 2021, 11:16:33 AM
What’s the preferred method for blocking off the oil fill tube hole on a single 4v Blue Thunder intake if it’s not going to be used? This will be going on the 390 I’m putting in my 67 Mustang and I’ll be filling the oil through the valve cover.
Thanks,

A cup plug will do it.

Measure and see but I think it's 1.375".

I purchased this one for my 68 Cougar with 390, but haven’t installed yet.

I’m curious as to the best intake gasket for this setup on a 390?  I’ve held off installing mine as I’ve been a bit paranoid of things not fitting correctly.  From my understanding, these intakes are machined well, so there shouldn’t be an issue on a stock engine.
