This was at the MCACN (Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals) in Chicago (Rosemont) this past weekend. FE buddy Andy Snetselaar had it there and for sale. Even fired it up on occasion throughout the weekend.

My buddy and the 461 all iron CJ stroker I did was up there. Black 68.5 CJ 4 speed coupe. I heard it was a great show, I need to start going
-
Doug, what kind of money has been mentioned for the unit? My wife showed me a pic from FB and I gave her an estimate on the asking price.
-
Don’t shoot the messenger. $100,000. It may have been negotiable?
-
100k is ridiculous, it looks peppered with repop parts. I'd be embarrassed to show my face asking that kind of money for that engine.
-
I heard $100k second hand. At the show asking the price wasn’t on my mind. So it could be different?

BAT sold two of them. Feb 2023 for 140K. Oct. 2021 for 60K.

I was very close. Told the bride 75-100K. She said “huh”?
-
If some rich mook is crazy enough to overpay that much so be it, but the truckle down effect will raise prices for the rest of us... now that distributor clamp is not just an FE but could be part of a hundred grand worth.
-
Last time I looked, Kaase had them listed starting at 60K

The $140k was an NOS untouched one. That's why it went for that, which is still ridiculously overpriced...

This one was only a couple months ago, shelby block and a reasonable price I think
