Nice New 482 Ford Sideoiler Tunnel Wedge 2X4 Pan-to-Carbs For Sale
« on: September 17, 2015, 06:41:38 PM »
This is a nice engine with an uninjured '68 juice sideoiler block, T-wedge, QF 850 annulars, custom ground hydraulic roller .600 lift, Very streetable pump gas engine.  Dove intake has NO issues, BBM heads mildly enhanced by me, Morel short travel lifters, Scat, CP, Canton front sump pan with screen, billet Pro-Gram caps, Cometic head and manifold gaskets, Crane billet distributor..........very nice throughout.  I should have dyno info by the end of next week.  Pics available via text or email to interested party.  No wait, No hassle, turnkey 482.  If interested please contact me at captcj at hughes dot net.

Thank you very much.

We ran the engine on Monday.  658 hp @ 5800, 636 tq at 4700.  Will try to post a dyno sheet later today.  It went to 6500 without float, but was trying to get upset at 6600.  More spring would cure that, but would not move the peak, and the beehives I have on it are very reliable/streetable like it is.  A person could shift it at 6300 just fine.  It is very smooth, no leaks, no issues.  Just needs a home.  I would prefer to discuss details and pricing privately with interested individuals.  Thanks much.

Got one a few months ago but sounds potent at a reasonably low RPM should last

Blair,
Why did you go through the trouble of installing the pro-gram caps?

Just wondering,
Thanks,
Drew

I've had the block for a long time.  It was originally intended to go in a V-drive boat we have, so I put the billet caps on for rigidity in that environment.  It did not end up in the boat........so I did a streetable build with it.    I attempted to post a dyno sheet, but my outdated computer equipment is not talking the language of the site, and I am not computer literate enough to translate....

I still have this engine for sale....PRICE REDUCED...$19,500 ready to ship.  Also have a 1x4 just like it with a BBM block and Ed RPM manifold, 850 QF carb at $18,500.  Need to run the single four engine, but waiting for someone to want it first..............I found a set of cast BT pentroofs that can go on the first one that leaves......the other gets engraved fabbed sheetmetal covers, or something of your choice that is AVAILABLE.  Valve covers seem to be a problem right now...........
