The University aerial pic site has some fantastic aerials of Minnesota Dragways in 1960 and North Star Dragway in 1964 and running the other direction and called Twin City in 1957.

There is a Minnesota Dragway shot in 1964 also. I cropped a couple shots, and posted them on the MN Dragway page, and NorthStar page on Facebook.

That sounds interesting, thanks !  With all this lovely weather lately, I suspect I'll have time to peek at those !  ::)

The black and white photo was take'n in 1956.It is 180 degrees from the photo in post 7 some 30 years later.Near the top and a bit to the right are tree's that was a community once known as "Ford Town".Many of the folk's that lived there worked at Ford. The color photo is from the June 9th 1956 jet crash that took many lives.Eight of which were kid's

The November 1955 crash was two miles East of Joe's Auto Sale's where many of us have procured parts to sustain our rides.Joe would have been about ten at the time.

WooHoo.....More goodies to peek at, thanks for those 57 lima bean  !!

Speaking of Joe's .....  The last time I went there I decided to snap some pics, thinking "geez, how long will all this remain here ?"  I have those posted below. I've also got some French Lake pics I took last fall while browsing for some Gal stuff...that I can post up. I realize some guys get depressed looking at boneyard pics, and I get it, lol.  :P

AND FINALLY IT ALL WEAVES TOGETHER Norm..........lol

The 64 is a former Highway Patrol car with a 390PI.The photo was taken near the water tower at the Vets.Hospital as seen in the black and white areal photo above around 1970.The right front fender for the car was had in late Summer of 69 at Joe's Auto because the younger brother of the owner smashed it.Sadly the older brother died 10/28/69....(Vietnam).The owner of the "Judge" built the equal length headers depicted on page 192 in Jay's "The Great intake Comparo"

I love the " 6 degrees of separation " factor --great stuff !!  Loved the '64's stance and it's 'rowdy' look. Those white inner fenders --verry period !!  :P

A guy in our car group owns a Judge and I think he bought it new ?  They probably knew each other back then. Lots lower population, and I think car guys 'found' each other back then --with no need of the internet and so forth, right ?

Thanks for sharing !   Norm
