BBM aluminum block.
« on: November 26, 2016, 12:26:15 AM »
Has anybody used an aluminum BBM engine block yet. I know they are not released yet but what about prototypes??? Has anyone even seen one in person???  When they come out in January how will the quality be seeing that it will be the first run of them???

truths:

-All of BBM's stuff has been pretty well gone over prior to release, I don't think any of their stuff has had the typical "first release flaws"
-They've had release dates for their aluminum block for what now, 3 years?
-At the moment, it appears you'd be a lucky man to find ANY aftermarket 427 block, especially an aluminum one.

Already ran an early BBM aluminum block on a customer engine.
Customer acquired it - he was under the impression that it was the first one.
I subsequently heard that there were at least a few others in service.
Had a bunch of Dove high riser parts up top.
Made +/-640HP and no issues at all
