Faron, I wish I would have read your post from 2:12 PM before I spent $38 on a Pertronix coil. The old one worked fine but someone recommended I go to the correct Pertronix coil. Oh well, not that much money.

Everything else you said in that paragraph is good to hear, it's exactly what my motor builder told me as well about 10.5 to 1 and plug gap. However, after he recurved my dizzy it was all in at ~3000rpm. I decided to try the Mr Gasket springs myself and I got it to ~2500rpm. When I talked to him about that he said he would advise strongly against using the Mr Gasket springs. He said the chance of detonation for a mostly street/ rarely strip car is way to dicey.

I was shaking all 4 times I pulled that tiny clip on the vacuum advance module. I knew I'd never find it again if it went shooting. If i decide to tweak it anymore I'll definitely take it back to my builder and have him do it with his machine and knowledge.
