Need Help With A Late 60's O.E.M. Parts Cross Reference
« on: November 09, 2018, 09:43:49 PM »
I edited my original post to add this part number. EBay add says NOS pick-up distribution block. Scott Drake says there part with the C7 number requires different fittings. Who has the correct information? I am looking for an exact replacement for a 67 F-250 manual 4 wheel drums. I do not mind modifying the mounting bracket if needed.
Thanks,

Some of you are members and hope you have done the 67 dual pot master cylinder to a 65. I bought the lines but just need the distribution/switch block.
Thanks

My sons truck is a 64 f350 that we are changing the single to a dual master. we found that the 70 trucks did not use a distribution block. I believe that came when discs were involved. To hook the brake light up you can put a tee in the line to the rear or the front. The block I believe you are referring to is for when the pressure is lost either to the front or rear and it trips to keep pressure to the brakes. It then completes the circuit and the warning light comes on to signal a brake problem. Some masters have a port for the brake light switch but some time in the late 60s they were switching to the dual master disc and they went to switches on the pedal assy.

Wonder if I am getting the right lines. I thought it would be a single line from the master cylinder to the rear. The representative said it was two piece and I would need the block. Maybe my current block will work. It splits up the front wheels and limits the rear.

The 73 disc to 65 F-100 conversion used the block but for some reason I used an inline T for the brake light switch.

FWIW, when I put front disk on the Falcon and Mustang from the mid 70s intermediate line, I used the stock prop valves from the doner.  Weight of the vehicle, wheel cylinder bore size and rear drum brake surface area were all close to the receiving vehicle.
