Bang Shift member Gerrit published some of his Dragweek photo's on the Dragweek board, he caught a few of Jay. Here's a couple. Nice shot here, a good 10 feet past the starting line and the wheels are still up.

Nice pics. Jay have you ever popped that chute? Seeing that car from the front towing the laundry would make a great photo.
-
I never have. I've actually thought about doing it on the street as a test :o, but haven't done that either. Hopefully the brakes keep working and I don't need it :P
-
I thought that's where the emergency trunk monkey resided. You know, just in case you can't get to the main trunk fast enough.
-
You might want to try it once in awhile. Chute packing is an art form....do it wrong and bad things happen!

LMAO!!! ;D ;D ;D

No reason to NOT use the chute in my opinion. Easier in the brakes and just a good habit IF something's goes wrong. If something were to fail in the brakes, by the time you realize you have a problem it is already too late. Covering a lot of ground at 150 mph.

Ya thats gotta be a pita repacking that thing. I certainly wouldn't try it for the first time on a 150mph pass tho.

Ran across a couple more nice pictures of Jay from dragweek 2015. Thanks to Jeff Oviatt Photography on Facebook.

Thanks for posting those, Kevin. I also got a new picture of the car last night. A few months back, Mark Dahlquist emailed me a picture from Facebook, of Rob Kinnan's computer screen. Rob is the former editor of Hot Rod, now in charge of Mustang Monthly magazine. I got to know Rob pretty well at the first few Drag Week events. He had a shot of my Shelby clone as the background of his laptop. Then, his laptop crashed or broke, and in frustration he posted a picture of the screen on Facebook. Mark forwarded it to me:

Looked like a great picture, at least before the computer crashed LOL! I got on Facebook (which I very rarely do), and sent Rob a message asking if he still had a copy of the photo. Never got a response back, so I kind of gave up on the photo.
Then, a couple weeks ago Rob emailed me out of the clear blue sky and said he was doing an article on my car for Mustang Monthly. We ended up talking via phone and I sent him some pictures, to go along with the ones that Dominick Domato shot of the car on the last day of Drag Week 2015. In the email I asked about the background photo, and he emailed me a copy last night. Dom took this photo also; great shot:

Looking forward to seeing the Mustang Monthly article...

Hope my Mustang Monthly subscription is still good :)

That Gulfstream Aqua is a weird paint. Just like my car, it totally changes from a lighter pearl blue to a darker solid blue depending on the light and angle. I love it.

Oh, now that's good!
