Hi guys
Does anyone have a link to or a stash of these j bolts off a 66 Gal or Gal wagon?
They are off the front frame.
I’ve looked through McMaster Carr and a bunch of online places.

I’ve looked on Auveco and couldn’t find anything with enough offset. Just to make sure I sent them an email with pictures and measurements.

Thanks Heo. I’ll save you for desperation time. I should be able to find something.

Not exact, but Lowes has some that work in a pinch.
Dennis Carpenter has a decent selection, again I can't confirm the exact one, but I've gotten some for my 63 and 76 from there.

I have two frames there should be some of them left on those frames how many do you need?
I must go in to the woods and take them of this weekend in case... We are getting snow the
comming week.

Why not try to make them?
Cut and bend some sheet metal,
weld or braze some nuts on and paint.
May take some practice cutting and shaping.
Could be fun and rewarding.
Just a thought.

Definitely could, however the reason I need at least one (and prolly more) is that these are the base for the sway bar bracket and one completely broke. Another is starting to break. If I made them out of sheet metal they would break in no time. The originals are spring steel. Thought about going through the frame with a bolt but would need a sleeve inside the frame. Not a problem if this was a project car but it’s my daily driver. When you boil it all down just finding replacements is the best/easiest way.

You’re a beautiful man Heo thank you. But you don’t need to go into the woods. I’ll find something here. No worries.
I have not exhausted all my options yet. I have a little honey hole of parts in northern Calif.

Thanks Drew I’ll give those a shot.

Would that be Big M in Williams?

No but I’ll trade you info.
Mine is in Oroville.
Dudes name is Todd Cash.
He has a not to be believed truck parts stash.
Has a bunch of car stuff also.
There is also a guy on Feather River blvd in Oroville that is all Ford, but I forget his name.
If you’d like Todd’s number you can pm me. Been using him for years and can’t believe all the cool stuff that shows up there. Like I say mostly trucks but if anyone knows where the junk is buried, he does.

If not, shoot them an email with that photo and they'll come up with something usually.
Cheers,
Joe

Thanks Joe, that’s a good lead.

Sorry to resurrect this but for info I thought I would let you guys know that AMK couldn’t help.
I talked to them on the phone as well as sent them an email with the pics. Their response was that they don’t have anything close to that.
So what I’ll prolly do is weld a nut on a washer that is the same od size as the hole then weld that into the frame.
-
Ah well, it was worth a shot!

Thanks Joe it was a good lead. The washer deal will be stronger in the long run.
