Some friends on the convinient long straight road outside
our carclubs garage. The Pontiac was a real sleeper
dont looked much but fast with real well built 400
We Went to the next Town for a street race
with the slicks and a case of beer in the trunk
He beat one after another. I remember a 69 Chevelle
they had trailered there. Full tube chassie tunnelramed
bigblock. They was in semifinal against the Pontiac.
and real nervous. After five burnouts and tracbite
they lost to the Pontiac with 3 car lenhgts ;D ;D
The Pontiac was the Winner in the final against
another friends Camaro
And we instaled the street tires and went down to
the local bargain bin and picked up some girls

Ha, I thought it said Ford also. Didn't catch that little change.
Cool old pics. I love the street race picture. That's the only racing I've done....heavily influenced by the race between Falfas '55 Chevy and Milners '32 Highboy in American Graffiti 8)

Heo,
Some nice cars you've built over the years!  Looks like hot rodding is alive and well in Sweden... I've also seen a few magazine articles since about Swedish hot rods, such as the guy who put a Mercedes V12 in a Cobra kit car.  He added some aero upgrades too, and the craftsmanship really showed.
I was on a business trip there some years back and stayed in Sandvikken, home of tool maker Sandvik.   I went to the hotel dining room for dinner and was surprised to see a band was setting up.  Turns out they played country music, Swedish style!  So temporarily at least, I wasn't homesick for Texas!   ;D

Ps - how's that Galaxie P Code coming along?
