This guy have grinded the tips of the rocker arms so..... So find some one who can grind rockers nowadays....
or find a other set of  adjustabel rockers....or bite the bullet and buy roller rockers

This engine is fighting me

The rocker problem is solved.I was offered a set adjustabels today
got the bolts i ordered so i could bolt on the timing cover, filter
adapter and damper

The intake was to ugly to bolt on so i dropped it of a friends motorcycle shop for glassbeading

Here some engines he had in the shop at the moment

Basket case?? ;D

After some bench racing i went home and put on the oilpan so now i just need the rockers and the intake beaded
to button up the engine

Say Heo.....with glass beading it's critically important to super clean every crevice on that intake. Those damned things can stick everywhere and once loose, they can and will cause havoc with bearings, rings, ring lands, etc. Many shops here will not glass bead any engine parts. I'd pressure clean it 3 times and more.

Next time, use crushed walnut shells as they get soft with oil and disintegrate it essentially nothing and leave via the oil filter. Not so with glass beads.

Yes crushed glass is something you don't want to end up in
the oil.He mask of the runners and only blast the  outside
but  you need to clean it off thoroughly after

I see now like i wrote it that I'm going to beadblast the rockers
that's not the case just the intake on the outside

Now over to the valve covers, While I'm waiting for the rockers and the intake
Since the Streetmaster have no oilfiller and no vent I cant use the stock chrome
ones and they need re chroming
So i had those cal custom covers i had since the early 80s. Funny thing i knew
where i had them but things i had five minutes ago i cant find  ::) I guess i need
to clean the garage. I told my wife i had some evil gnome in the garage that hide
my stuff. She told me to look in the mirror to find him  :o
Any way i think i mill down the fins in the middle for a  390 Fenderbadge in gold
and paint gold between the Finns

That should look really sharp with the badges and gold paint. Can't wait to see what they turn out like. Engine is looking really good, Heo. I love the serious look of a black engine with some polished aluminum pieces.
