I'm boring my 390 block out .030 and have a stock 4 barrel intake and stock heads. I'm looking for a loud cam that doesn't really have to be drivable but still drivable. Lol. Just going to be a truck to drive around town and break people's necks.

If you need more information just ask. Cause I'm just getting into cars. Also would appreciate any other power making advice.

Right now I have a stock c6 with a tran go shift kit. Planning on buying 3rd member with a locker and 4.30 gears. Also have 29 in tall Hoosier drag slicks.

And way in the future when I have lots of money. Lol. I'll buy a stroker kit.

Have 2wd drive lwb f100. Has a 4 barrel 390 with a c6 and shift kit. It's not going to be driven on the highway. Just the streets. It has 3.50 gears in it right now.

Need some opinions. What should I do for a transmission? Right now I have a stock 390 but I don't plan on keeping it stock. Plan on building a 400 to 500 horsepower motor. I have a stock c6 that could be rebuilt. but idk if I should rebuild it with a shift kit, or go ahead and buy a brand new transmission like a street fighter. Also I would have the c6 rebuilt by a local tranny shop. They quoted me with like 800 bucks for a stock rebuild.

What do you guys think would give me the most bang for my buck?

Another thing is torque converter.

I'm building a racetruck  ;D   It's a 68 f100. Have a stock 390 and a c6 transmission. I just need some build tips and guides because this is my first time.  :o So please tell me what's the best. I want a street monster that would rip at stop lights. And of course I have a budget.
