Exhaust flanges for 390 truck manifolds> can't find anything
« on: December 02, 2023, 08:16:57 PM »
Hello, making engine run stand and will be using truck manifolds. I can't seem to find a simple mating flange with short pipe that would bold to the stock manifolds. This I guess would take a doughnut. I only want a short adapter and will piece together after that. Could bold headers on but I am trying to keep the amount of space this will occupy to a minimum. Thanks

If I am understanding you correctly, you could probably take your manifolds to an exhaust shop or anyone with an exhaust tubing bender, and they could make something up for you. I have a friend who does frame-off restorations and he has his own exhaust bender and is experienced in it's proper usage. Any decent exhaust shop should have this, and have someone capable of making what you need.

Do both ex. manifolds have a relief for a donut gasket to sit ??

Or is one or both flat ??

Measure across the center of the bolt pattern ....... WALKER 31801, this is a flange with no pipe

Or, as said above... take both manifolds to a muffler shop... they may have the parts on hand

Have you considered a set of shorty headers ?Might save you some time and effort .Doug
