So it starts out saying the car (a '69 Ford Cobra Sportsroof) originally came with a "side oiler 428" that had been replaced with a 427 side oiler.

Car is rough, but the engine looks to be a decent build. Scat 4.25 crank and balanced rotating assembly, BBM heads, and a throttle body fuel injection system.

I asked for a few more details: stock rockers with a Comp 292H hydraulic tappet cam, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, no porting as cast intake and heads. Last question was "have any of the cylinders been sleeved".

The answer: "The block is a 1968 hydraulic lifter 427 likely out of a Cougar given the build date. It has eight thin wall sleeves honed to 4.25”. I think I read a vary sad story on here recently about someone sleeving all 8 cylinders. Doesn't end well.
