FLOOR PLUG
« on: January 24, 2020, 06:33:34 PM »
I'm looking for a supplier that may have the oval floor plug that goes on the right side of the trans hump in my 63 1/2 galaxie 500 XL. I have looked at Buds classic cars Macs  and  Concours parts.
 Any info would be appreciated.

This plug is hard rubber like the rubber plugs in the floor. It is 2 1/4 X 1 3/4 inches and oval shaped. located on the right side of the trans hump toward where the tranny would be bolting to the bellhousing. what was there was a piece of 30lb roofing felt glued to the trans hump. Just thought I might find the correct piece that goes there before putting my soundproofing down and new carpeting..

That plug looks a lot like the Mustang rear shock bolt access covers. You might have a look at one of those.
