hi jayand other cammer experts
i am running stock cams in my 482 cammer
its a street motor
horsepower is 608 at 5800 and 580 footpounds of torque
it has 400 fpt at 2000 rpm
just a question
what spec cams will give me 750 plus horsepower and still be streetable

"Streetable" is a pretty broad term.  I run the biggest cams that Comp makes, and run all my engines on the street.    But I would say that not everyone would consider these engines to be streetable.  So, I'm not sure I can tell you what streetable is; that has to be defined by you.

To get to that horsepower level, I think you should go with the Comp VM series cams, lobe number 8592 or 8594 on both lobes, with a 114 LSA.  The 8592 lobe is 292 advertised duration, 269 @ .050", and .716" lift.  The 8594 is 300 degrees advertised duration, 277 @ .050", and .723" lift.  Let me know if you are interested in these; I started selling SOHC cams through my business a few months ago, and can offer them at $800 per pair.  Sorry for the shameless plug; after Drag Week I'll put the cam specs and prices up on the main part of my web site, and direct people who are interested there.  Thanks, Jay

its got 3.7  gears in the back
low ratio 1 and second gear in c6
what would they idle at

I don't have information from Comp on what the power bands are, but I would guess with your engine it would be 4000-6000 RPM with the 8592 cam and 4500-6500 with the 8594.  You will need to run a high stall converter with those cams, probably 3500-4500 stall.  They would probably idle around 900-1000 RPM with a well tuned carb setup.  Hope that helps - Jay
