 Some counterfeit things are so close I think they are built by the same companies in China but after hours or a slightly different assembly line. Some copy paint guns are indistinguishable for 1/10th the price.

No, paint guns come from Germany, Japan, and Arizona. MSD, yes probably Chiba

Although I used to think MSD boxes came from El Paso Texas

They were usa made, holley bought msd and in the name of larger profits moved off shore.
I switched to these USA made cd boxes. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/tay-401001
