Anyone have any good or bad experiences with aftermarket windage trays pertaining to fit issues on  4.250 stroker kits? Thanks

Long ago I tried a Canton windage tray for my stock 428.  I cut the heck out of it trying to get it to clear the rods.  Seems maybe at that time they only made them to fit 390 cranks?  I gave up and used a stock tray with issue.

I don't know if they ever got it figured out?  Has anyone tried one in the last 15 yrs?

Canton screen type tray clears 95% of the time just fine.

Word of advice though, while the pan is off, make sure the dipstick will slide in properly without hitting the screen/pan. I've had that issue both times that the Canton screen was used.

Doug's advice is spot on, even with Ford versions, for some reason they never give enough room for the front mounted dipstick  Always mock it up with a few bolts and try the dipstick

I use the Ford style trays and drill a bunch of big holes on the downward path of the oil.  I am not sure it does anything, but I think to think it works as a bit of a stripper.  If nothing, it likely drains a bit faster.

I bought the Canton louvered version when I built my 504. P/N 20-938P. It clears a 4.375 stroke with 2.2 Scat rods. But its close. Cant confirm the dipstick clearance since I used a 4x4 pan.

Thanks for all the input. I was leaning towards the Canton screen tray, I’ll give it a shot.
