The guy with arguably the oldest engine series was the first contestant to use elec injection!

 Jay when David Freiburger drove with you at Drag Week in your Mach1 did he refer to it as a Ford Edsel?

Congrats to Barry on doing so good with last years "detuned" engine. Shows how reliable and competitive an old fe can be.

I never heard DF refer to the FE as a Ford-Edsel, but as far as I'm concerned he's correct - Jay

I think Barry has raised the bar a peg or two.
Next year the old guard will or should at least have a used engine for the race.
Great FE banner waving as always Barry.

Next time your at a function and the topic comes up.
Tell them you collect and race Edsel engines.  Always good for a "huh".
