I've got 4 intakes I'll supply

1958-9 Edsel "higher riser"  Cast Iron 4bbl you supply the carb. (lightest of all CI intakes @ 72 Lb.)

Edelbrock 3X2 with Stromberg WW mounts  More CFM on each carb

Edelbrock 6X2 with Stromberg WW's  1"adapters for the 4X3 base and to clear the Valve Covers

Latham Supercharger Intake and Supercharger with all pulleys but adapted to 6 Stromberg WW's (I expect this to be like a miniature dog pulling a truck pull sled)

Just putting this out there for future consideration

Thanks for the offer Richard, it would be interesting to test those.  The thing with the book though is that it has to be a specific number of pages, in increments of 16, due to printing constraints, and re-formatting the book to add those intake tests would be a very time consuming task.  However, I have found a few other intakes I would like to test, and may just make it a post or two on the forum at some point.  If I get ready to do that, I'll get back to you on this - Jay

I've got a couple of intakes also, that you might be interested in testing.  Especially if you wanted a ported version of a couple of them.  Ported 6V,  LR 8V ported, Street Dominator(3) 390HP ported, and a couple of your adapters with EFI, or Torker with divider.  Just ideas for thought.  Might even bring them up to save shipping, and help with the dyno testing???  LOL

Also, Survival ported, KCII CNC, BBM stock, BBM ported, Edelbrock ported, just to fuel the debates.    Joe-JDC

I think I've got one of those Edsel ones, it was painted white. 575--- number. I was going to use it on my 61 meteor wagon's 332 but it has no place for a temperature sender.

Intake Comparo? Part Deu or deuxième partie
« Reply #5 on: September 24, 2015, 11:22:43 AM »
Jay, maybe with Online Publishing now, you could do a low run of intake part two, cream of the crop plus new data/tests of SOHC stuff.

Dont you just love everyone else giving out 'great ideas' for how to do everything?

:-)

Here are a few pictures of the 1958 Edsel manifold

TomP if you note the temp sender is in the WP bypass tube.

Looks taller than the C6AE-G, close to the C8OE-C?
Thanks

I'd also 'vote' more to see a lot of older and more modern Cleveland architecture intakes on Jay's new adaptor than some older pure FE intakes....since a lot of those old dogs likely are no better, or worse, than the ones Jay has already tested. My 2 cents!   ;)

I had to back burner the dyno mule for the intake adapter tests a while back, but I'll be back on it now in the next few weeks, so I should have some data on the intake adapter with various 351C intakes soon...

Maybe, this is the one with the EFI setup, right?  When I get the dyno mule ready to go we can discuss that...
