I have an L casting 4 barrel intake. How does it rank with the better FE intakes?

"Better" as in better factory intakes, or better aftermarket intakes?

They are not really anything to write home about.

I never met an iron 351C intake that was worth more than iron scrap.  I bought a stock clean crank and a set of rods from a guy at a swap, $40 and he MADE me take his iron intake or no deal.  :)

The better factory FE intakes like CJ or PI. I bought it in a pile a while back. Eventually I plan on getting Jay's adapter but don't want to risk him canceling my purchase or voiding a warranty for putting that thing on there.

I don't think you'd gain anything by going to that intake.  It's a stocker and it's meant for a smaller engine with inefficient ports at low rpm.

Standard stuff.  Might be of interest to someone restoring a car with a 1970 351C in it.  There's a D0AE-L intake listed on eBay at $125, re-listed, no takers.  $125~150 would probably get you a good used Torker, Weiand single plane, Ed dual plane, etc.  All better than an iron stocker.

That $125 is the cheapest I have seen. These were on EBay for $180-$290. Thinking that was too much I put mine up on craigslist for $80 or trade for a FE iron intake.
