I have a 4.375 forged crank I bought new from Barry R and had it balanced ready to go, found out I made a mistake and it was supposed to be a 4.250  :-\ I am going to sell it if interested, you would need to balance it for your rods and pistons.

Jay I think it would be really cool if you started selling a complete kit you have always been my go to guy for questions anyway and I always tell my wife it was because of you that I built mine hahahahah. A complete kit for the price of $10K to $15K would be nice there are ways guys could cheat down the price by using a lot of the parts on the stock 390 crank, rods, oil pump, pan, all depends on how much HP they want to get out of it, the next one I build will be low HP something more street friendly, what I have now is a car I have to drive I can't Cruz in it although I do put a lot of miles on it, it would be fun to have one I can Cruz in and drive a little harder at stop lights when a Chev or Mopar pulls up right now they don't want nothing to do with it :) There is something about the looks when you go to a show and they here it and you get out and open the hood and guys just stand there and look, we just finished the stroker 390 and we have a lot of $ into that but to each his own poison.

We have L-60 15 under our cars you could do this pretty ease we just ground off about a 1/4 inch on the inner edge and used 8 inch wheels with a 4 1/2 inch inside off set.

Yes I would grab it I used one and built my SOHC out of it I was able to go out to 4.170 and I am running 11.5.1 pistons, it also has larger gussets going to the mains to beef it up, mine says in the frost plug holes 428 in 2 spots, the guy that lined honed it for my say they used 428 cores in the 391 blocks and only bored them to 390 specs.

Hi Jay no it didn't come off it broke that was my question is that common? I was going to make one but you have them I would get one from you although these are Munro rockers. I compared them to my T&D's and the adjustment screws and they are a different size and they are also a different size than the dove rockers I have also. I think I will have to make it but is sure is confusing why it happened. Looking at the ball on the screw and the 2 pieces of the foot it almost appears that it was hitting harder on the sides of the cup and not as much on the bottom of the ball.

Hey guys I was running my car the other day (SOHC) and all of a sudden I heard my rocker was a little noise, I got worried right away and shut it off pulled up a chair and had a beer and thought about it before I took off the valve cover. I got it apart and noticed that one of my adjustment pads was gone, I found both pieces and every thing looked OK but was wondering is this common? I will make a new one and put it back together but I am wondering if I should make all new ones?
I have never asked questions on the sight before but I figure this will reach some of the smartest guys in the motor world.

Thanks
Randy

I would have tied it to the back of the Galaxie and went for a ride to see if he could keep up, then would have had him mounted lol, just kidding. Nice catch.
