Alignment specs
« on: July 21, 2021, 08:14:44 PM »
Hi Everyone,
I have a 64 Comet with an FE 482 CID in it.  The front end is a Mustang II unit.  I'm getting the front end aligned/tires balanced next week.  Can anyone tell me what specs I should be looking for on the alignment?  Right now I get a lot of vibration from the front end, and the tires are wearing on the inside edges.
Thanks in advance.
Take care,
Dan

Probably to much toe out. You can measure that and correct it in the following manor.

You can correct that yourself, with the help of a friend. Spin the tires and make a mark on each, all the way around, with a steady hand. Or you can measure to the outside edge of the tread (not as accurate).

The distance between marks doesn't matter but, the difference between the center of the back of the tire, to the front of it does. You want the front to measure 1/8" less than the back of it.
