Non-FE Discussion Forum / Fast Eddie's in Cato, NY
« on: June 02, 2020, 08:23:06 PM »
Hi Everyone,
I've been looking for a shop in Central NY, and came across Fast Eddie's.  I went out and spoke to him; he seems pretty knowledgeable.  Is anyone familiar with him, his shop, the work he does?  I'm looking to have an electric steering kit put into my 66 Fairlane, he's the first guy/shop I've found that will do it.  If anyone can give me any info or experience with him, I'd appreciate it.  Also, if anyone knows of another shop in the Syracuse/Central NY area, please let me know.  Thanks in advance.
Take care,
Dan

Thanks for the replies.  I'll go out and check again, I don't think I was checking the right place.  Although, it looks like they aren't there anyway.  I did upgrade the lapbelts, so I at least have them.

« on: May 07, 2020, 04:12:02 PM »
Hi Everyone,
I'd like to put a set of 3 point seatbelts for the front seats on my 66 Fairlane.  My question is, does the 66 have the mounting point above the door?  I really don't want to start taking the headliner out if there's no mounting point there.
Take care,
Dan

How much quieter is that Carter pump than the Holley Red pump?  I have the Holley pump in my car and I'd like to find something quieter.
Thanks,
Dan

My Dad had several 66-67 F-750 Ford dump trucks (10 wheel).  They all had 391s with a 5 speed main and 3 speed splitter transmission.  They weren't the fastest trucks on the road, the 477 and 534s were noticeably quicker.  But, you could put 20 tons of blacktop or stone in them, and they'd haul it anywhere you wanted to go.

I would, too, but I still haven't recovered from 4/20 day.

I see what you did there)).

It's 5 o'clock here so I think I will have a adult beveridge and "quench" my thirst while I mull this over.
It's always 5 o'clock somewhere :)

But, but, but........I don't know.  All I know is that we're destroying the world economy over something that looks to be on par with a moderately bad flu season.  Not to mention all the little wanna-be tyrants are getting their groove on.

I wouldn't let her near my hose. She'd probably damage the nozzle and kink the rest halfway down. Here's my ideal girl, top to bottom; slender, feminine, sensual. No linebackers in FElony's lineup.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOHtRoJLiFE
Very nice!

It's a quicktime bellhousing, but I don't have it apart yet, so I don't know what the pattern is.

« on: April 04, 2020, 12:10:00 PM »
Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for input on a new clutch for my 66 Fairlane.  It's a Ford Motorsports 351 block, 393 CID.  It dynoed 376 HP at the rear wheels, so I'm figuring about 425 HP at the flywheel.  Transmission is a TKO 600, rear end is a 9 inch with 3.75 posi gears.  The car is street driven, but I might take it to the track once, just to run it and get some time slips.  I would appreciate any suggestions for a new clutch, and maybe a flywheel if I end up needing one.  Thanks in advance.

No wonder I flunked math.  I forgot to take the Cheezeburger Constant into account.  Life must be endlessly fascinating in FElony world  ;D.   You probably played Calvinball when you were a kid)).
