These are pretty cool machines.  I've been lusting after one for a while, but they are still pretty spendy.  The DIY market is taking off for the printers though, a few more years and they will really come down in price, the smaller form stuff is already much less expensive.  Save some huge advance in optics and coordinate measurement stuff, I'm guessing the scanners will not come down in price much more, unfortunately.
