FE Technical Forum / Tunnelport fuel injection
« on: August 28, 2023, 05:55:37 PM »
Looking for suggestions to put reliable fuel injection on a 427 tunnelport. Presently it has two Holley carburetors, the carbs work fine but seeing if their are better options while car is being restored. The motor will be in a quiet street driven car.
Inglese appears to have a nice system but are only available for the medium riser

Thanks,
Mark

Try disconnecting the battery terminals and cleaning posts and terminals with a battery cleaning tool or sand paper.

Nice pictures, looks tight in there.
Do you know if he stretched it or recessed firewall and how much, what he needed to alter on chassis to fit motor. And, sorry for all the questions, do the heads allow him to put sides on if he wanted to? Of course it would be a crime to cover motor, but if he wanted to, could he?
Thanks,
Mark

Thanks,

30 years ago when you called Crower with a question, you talked with Mr. Crower (I forget his first name) or he called you back. So whenever we needed something we went to Crower, we didn't know about metallurgy but we knew he would talk with us kids that were trying to learn, he made this 18 year old get a smaller cam.

Big company today.

So, Im replying to this to ask why stay with Crower, when there are several other good rod makers?

Has there been any updated response from Crower to this rod failure? I'm reading this late but still curious.

For the past few days I've gone back and read this thread from the beginning. Fascinating.

Thanks for logging it all,

Mark
