That's awesome, Alan!! A 0.21 drop in ET in one day is huge! Do you attribute it to the cooler weather, or did you change something else as well?
Joe, Alan has the Lima engine out of his Galaxie in the Mustang.

Just a little 10 second street car. Schween!
Congrats

I have been watching the live feed as much as I can, haven't caught your car yet! I streamed the live feed on the tv last night, was pretty neat to have that on as background noise, I'd run over quick if he announced anything that sounded cool.
My buddy Zack and I have been BSing all week about taking my '62 Galaxie next year for RMRW. I'd just run it in a 13.0 index class or something like that, nothing too aggressive. He's good friends with the guy that does the announcing, Adam Dorey, so we would make it a semi-leisurely trip tagging along with them.

Congratulations, proud for you.
My first sub 10 second run was also a fantastic day.
Keep pecking on the peg, a Sub 10.30 could be next !

I caught your run today! Just before leaving work. Car runs hard!
I'm not totally sure I agree with their timing decision they made for today. I can completely understand that they wanted the fast cars only running 1/8th mile, but I don't like that they are adding yesterdays back half. Seems like they should have come up with something a little more creative than that. Could add the other 4 days average back half, or they could just average in todays 1/8 mile time with every other days 1/4 mile time.
Were the racers OK with the way they factored it? Or was everyone like WTF?

I thought it was just cool and that Tulsa did better track prep but I ran an 11.01@123 with a 1.59 60ft at Mid America Dragway and it was warmer today and I really didn't think their track would compare to Tulsa but maybe it does. At Tulsa I changed the way I did my burnouts some. I was doing a long burnout to get a lot of smoke out the tires but I started doing a shorter burnout which may have helped. M/T says you don't need to do a long burnout, just enough to get a little heat in the tires and clean them off. I considered making another pass or two to see if I could get another 1 sec time slip but I didn't want to push it and I really want want to finish. Anyway, I am on my way to Noble tomorrow

I just watched the live feed replay from Mid America and according to the announcer I am currently in 2nd place. 8)
