I was only aware of the XL100 Ford B/fx truck in '63. I know it's not a Ford topic but I thought is was kind of interesting.

I've seen articles on that a couple times over the years. Those were wild times in drag racing back then for sure, so much innovation, willing to explore any avenue.

That truck was from here in San Diego, and the driver was a local radio DJ. It wasn't a factory effort, but he had the support of some local dealers. In 64 he was back in a car, a Ramcherger.

Funny, not long ago I was flipping though some old issues of Drag News and found an ad for the Ford XL100. I'll see if I can make a copy of it. The ad stated that the truck was available to be ordered, although we all know that never happened.
