At first I questioned the wisdom of Jay putting my covers in the backpack of a guy riding his horse from Minnesota to Arizona. However, after tracking the package on the Saddle Sore Transport web page, I gotta say that sonuvagun is making good time indeed. Horse feed and a couple bottles of cheap whiskey sure trumps UPS rates.
Sadly, the delivery rider dropped dead a few miles north of here from lack of food and water. Must have worked at Amazon prior. His horse was kind enough to bury him and transfer the package to UPS, and it arrived here just a few minutes ago.
This UPS driver is the backup for the regular guy, and has never been here before. Of course, he could see over the fence in his van. "Excited" at what he saw is an understatement. Big fan of old cars, and even knew what FE's are. I told him the item in the box was something unique and limited production just for FE's. He couldn't guess, so I let
him open the box. You should have seen the look on his face. Little kid on Christmas! Oh wow! So we yakked for 20 minutes about cars and he had to boogie.
I'm such a nice guy, aren't I?
Anyway, construction is stout. Appearance is extra nifty. My only complaint is that I didn't get any FE Power stickers like everyone else. Not with the intake adapter, either. I'm thinking Jay doesn't want his company associated with old, decrepit FElony. Makes sense to me.
