I have ran that setup for several years in a 66 fairlane bracket car. Just torn down for freshening.Very durable combination.Must have 100 runs on it mostly all ford stuff.

I'm sure you have already done this,but make sure the float level is correct.its simple but I am guilty of overlooking it before.

Jay,we made a set of intake gaskets one time that didn't have proper oil drain holes,it made quite a mess, just a thought! good luck!
