Cougar Show in Solomons Island, MD 10/7/2023

   Hi,
If you like Cougars, you might like this video. I'm driving my 445 powered '69 Eliminator from Massachusetts down to Solomons Island, Maryland for the 25th anniversary of the DelMarVa and New Jersey Cougars clubs which were coincidentally both started in 1998. I had a great time at the show. Spent time with a great group of car guys and were surrounded by my favorite cars.
I was very glad to record this event. While editing takes quite a few hours of work, it was fun to do as well. The duration is 1 hour an 11 minutes. I hope you enjoy!

I have allways liked Cougars..... The Mercury ones ::) or well....Yes the Mercury ones ;D
Missed one tripple black XR7. There was an old rickety garage close to the road that we
passed everyday on our way to the job. One  morning the door was open and a lot of
stuf carried out and a car under a tarp. I told my boss thats a Mustang under the tarp
He asked shall we stop and ask if it for sale?
Nahhh they have probably just bought it and cleaning out the garage to get it inside i said
Probably the boss said
Next day The garage was tore down and The "Mustang" gone
A couple of months went by, my father was visited by a friend that live in that village.
I askt him about that "Mustang".... Nooo it was a Cougar the guy who owned it asked
if i wanted to buy it.
He bought it in mid 70s drove it for one summer had been in the garage since
I wasnt realy interested but askt what he had on his mind pricewise.
Well atleast what i gave in 75  :o :o :o i bought it right away
Sold it three weeks later trippled my money.....
Low Milage Tripple black XR7  :'( :'( :'( You should allways listen to your boss comands

The percentage of 1969 convertibles is rather high. But then 100% of the Cougars i've ever had were 1969 convertibles too. Looks like a great turnout for an October show, out west our season for shows ended a couple weeks before that.
