 Gregaba, His name is Mike Kopmanis, I bought both the "B" and the "D" cams from him.  I run an original "B" in my 56 F100  427 powered pick up. The "D" is going in a 63 427 Galaxie Tunnel port. Mike has a hunting camp 40 miles from me in northwestern PA. I`m in western NY 30 miles from Erie Pa. Never met him yet , but hoping to meet him at Beaver Springs some time.

I finally got to see a new 7.3 in the flesh.  local wrecking yard got a new truck what a neat rig, they fired it up so I could hear it run / Sweet. now if it only was a standard. Got me thinking of a motor swap in my 64 tonner, humm......

I have 3 Snap Ons  in/lb. 3/8, 1/2 all are clickers. Bought them many yrs ago still like new and accurate. Money well spent back then.

I compaired the pics to my cast pieces on my car, big diffience I saw is the location of the heat tube bosses. Mine are cast into the outer tubes and yours are behind the tubes and stick out more. The collectors look to be shorter than mine. be itnrested to see the original app is.

I would bet that the crank started cracking when the key was pushed into place. I don`t remember a small block having half moon keys cut into it. Straight keyways yes , but not half moons. Also I would say it was cut too far back  to the bearing, which would promote a tension stress from the tighting of the assys pulleys. Another question is why 3 key cuts? Big blocks use shallow square keys with now problems. My 2 cents

  5 yrs ago at Beaver Springs I had the pleasure of running my 56 427 powered  F100 down the strip There was a guy recording the parade of cars and trucks going down the strip. He made a video of the procession and actually  mentions my name in it. I got the vid and you can hear the sound of my 427 . The exhaust is a hand built SST system pipe mufflers and tail pipes that I built.  I don`t know if its posted some place but I got many comments on the sound.
