Like anything else prep is key. Permatex ultra black if prep is right it wont leak. Not the regular black it has to be Ultra black.

Same or the Ultra Black - done right for the gap it seals right up.  Only leaks if you somehow miss the bead size when you lay it down. I tried the Right Stuff on something and hated it.  It's the wrong stuff for me.  Didn't seal, porous, etc.

I am another non-believer in the Right Stuff.  After shaking the can as directed, it came out in blobs, left open gaps, sputtered in places I didn't want it, and leaked when the intake was installed.  Never again.  Wasted money and double work.  Any of the "Ultra" high temp RTVs will work much better.  Joe-JDC

Joe, was your Right Stuff in an aerosol can? The Right Stuff that I have always used was in a plastic tube, with a ratcheting pomp tool, kinda like a 1/2 size caulking gun. Never had any similar issues with that style, but I will look into the Dow Corning 732. When I was stilling working at a Toyota dealership, the sealant that we got from the parts department was either Dow Corning, or a GE item, in a squeeze tube, with a Toyota part number on a label. We used it for sealing oil pans and timing covers, worked well. Wonder if it is the same stuff.
