Love that truck too!  It should be a very nice runner... i had a '67 F100 LWB I bought in '72, Two-tone Springtime yellow and Wimbledon white.  It had a 352 2V with an oil bath air cleaner LOL!  Being a California truck it had a thermactor emission system (air pump). Used to burn a valve every 50k miles or so... I still put 150k miles on it and in '75 sold it back to the buddy I bought it from, for the same amount I paid him in '72!  I used that $$ for a down payment on our first home... So I second the statement - built Ford Tough!

Great to see the Joniec Mustang CJ... I was at the Winternationals in Pomona, CA Feb. '68 when that stable of CJs was rolled out.  Ford had many of their hotshoes of the time driving them, in additon to their regular Ford drag machines.  I remember seeing Gas Ronda and Hubert Platt driving CJs too.  I looked under the hood of one of them and saw the same view as shown in one of the pictures.  What a thrill that was for an 18-year old car guy!

Hi Y'all,
I'm Bruce Selby, born 1949 in Long Beach, CA.  I'm a mechanical engineer working in the petroleum industry.  I've been driving and working on FEs almost my whole life.  I saw the first one under the hood of my Mom's 58 T-Bird.  Since then I've owned a 61 Starliner 352 with 3 on the floor, a 63 Galaxie fastback with a P-Code 390, 67 F100 with 352, and a 67 Mustang GT 390 4-speed (13.8 @ 103 at Orange County Raceway).  I'm currently completing an overseas assignment at which time another FE project will get underway!  I'm thinking of another 61 Starliner... lots of FE possibilities there!  Anyone have ideas for it?
Btw, the picture has my current pride and joy, a 66 Fairlane 500 I found locally.  It was rough but all original and now has a coat of mystic blue metallic paint and a torquey 347 stroker small-block.
Really enjoying the forum, as well as Jay's and Barry's books.  You guys are really pushing the FE envelope!  looking forward to learning and contributing.
